| Stump Grinding |
If you have had a tree removed there will a stump left in the ground above ground level or you may have one in the garden getting in the way of mowing or garden improvements.
GREEN FRONTIERS have stump grinding machines that will grind the stump(s) to between 6” and 12” below ground level. The smallest access needed is only 24”.
All chippings will be left in the hole(s) unless our clients request the removal of them and replaced with top soil at an extra cost. It is advisable to leave a settlement time of 3-6 months before turfing the area or less if it is in a bed or border.

The company has a wheeled based and a tracked chipper so we are able to get access almost anywhere. Branches up to a 11-12" diameter (telegraph pole size!) can be fed into the machine and reduced to chips. The chips can be retained and be recycled by the client to be used as a mulch for paths or, when seasoned, as a mulch for beds. Or they can be taken away.
