| T.P.O. s (Tree Preservation Order) and CON.s (Conservation Areas) |
|
A Tree Preservation Order (T.P.O.) is usually applied to a tree with historic or aesthetic interest for the community and area. If you have a tree on the property that has this, you must NOT carry out any work on the tree unless you have been given permission by the planning department in your local council.
Similarly, if you live in a Conservation Area (CON.) you will not be allowed to carry out work without consulting your council authority.
On acceptance of any quote, GREEN FRONTIERS will carry out the relevant checks and, if necessary, put in the applications on your behalf. This will usually take 6-8 weeks for a decision to be made, but you will be able to track the progress either through the company or the council offices.
If there are no T.P.O.s or restrictions on trees then you will be able to carry out any tree work in your property.
